About the Author

Passionate about sailing on the San Francisco Bay, Allison was struck by the lack of children's books about sailing when seeking gifts for friends' kids who she hoped to inspire to learn to sail.

The first book is intended for babies as a first exposure to the magic of sailing, in the hopes that this memory will stick with them and inspire further curiosity about boats and ocean wildlife.

When not sailing her Catalina 27 in San Francisco or writing and illustrating new ideas, Allison can be found building new web apps as a digital experience designer or playing with her little dog.
